This is a very interesting list Med. Do you happen to know of any app to make an online dictionary? I am trying to organize an English-Spanish vocabulary list of the petroleum industry in a dynamic way. Thanks.

Thank Julio I do not know of any tool that can help you make a dictionary but this is also a good idea for me to start looking for it. I will update you in case I find any.

Thank you Med. I really appreciate it if you do. It´s not just for me but for other 150+ students I deal with each semester.

Julio & Med-

I am trying to organize a similar type English-Spanish lexicon that is industry specific.  WIll you post here if you find something.

Muchas gracias-

Matthew Reyes

yes sure Mathew I will

Hey Matthew & Med,

So far I have found 2 Dictionary Makers that I am exploring. The first one: http://www.wordsmyth.net/?mode=gm  and the other: http://www.lexiquepro.com/

I need something that

  • is web-based so that my students can access everywhere.
  • allows tags
  • supports pictures
  • allows the creation of part labels within an entry like "Idioms"
  • works like a wiki so that my students can add new entries.

I am working on a bilingual dictionary made by petroleum engineering students at Universidad del Zulia, Venezuela, where I teach English for Specific Purposes.

I appreciate your help on this matter. I am sure that networking like this will give good results.

Thank you.

"The depth of your observations from last night is still resonating with me. I'm trying to think of another interview I've given where the questioner understood the material so well that he/she so regularly (and fluidly) went into new intellectual territory. I can't think of any. Pretty amazing. Thank you."
