Charting the Course of Teaching and Learning in a Networked World
We are currently working toward moving away from housing all of our data/apps on site, however, as we discuss this transition there are a lot of questions. For all of you out there that have already taken this leap, how are you working around all the concerns with data ownership, privacy and security when it comes to students using Google Apps or any other online tools in their classrooms.
The Google Apps Education TOS, clearly states that they do not index or own your data in any way. However, there is hesitation about this and student privacy concerns from parents and a few faculty.
At this time, the only Google Apps users will be 6-8 users and 4-5 graders will have limited accounts on Google Apps that will not allow external emailing.
