The Future of Education

Charting the Course of Teaching and Learning in a Networked World

Hi all

We're looking at setting up a labs area for our e-learning prototypes
and would like to know what the best approach might be. Do you have
any suggestions?

So far some possible features of a labs area have been proposed:

However, there may be more appeal in a light-weight labs area:

All input welcome.  Thanks.

Dear Adam,

Could you elaborate on what are you doing and in what discipline? Labs are usually hands -on activities. E-labs are achieving what ?

Hi Nellie

We develop e-learning materials and tools. The labs area will hold prototypes that have been created by our developers; for review by other developers and prospective end users.
Hi, Adam. Have you heard about MIT Blossoms? Some of our teachers are using there virtual labs.http://blossoms.mit.edu/

Hi Nellie. I hadn't - thanks for the link. (I couldn't find the labs section though.)

"The depth of your observations from last night is still resonating with me. I'm trying to think of another interview I've given where the questioner understood the material so well that he/she so regularly (and fluidly) went into new intellectual territory. I can't think of any. Pretty amazing. Thank you."
