The Future of Education

Charting the Course of Teaching and Learning in a Networked World

Hastac and MacArthur are supporting the Digital Media and Learning Competition; public comment opens today.

Amongst the 100's of applicants is the Impact Lab.  This Learning Lab is based on student-led collaboration, as this is a
significant theme essential to 21st century learning.  We hope to
think, ponder, and analyze the impact that our actions have on the
world as well as the world's impact on our actions.  These experiences
with how we interact with each other, the environment, society,
economies, etc. could illuminate the commonalities amongst us all.
Ultimately, this Impact Lab
will provide students with a space to brainstorm, design, and propose
insights into the impacts that affect their lives.  These insights will
be shared with the global community through the use of 21st century
technologies (i.e. Elluminate, Skype, VoiceThread, etc.).
If you agree with this, please take a moment to read through our proposal and add your thoughts/comments to our thread.  (it can easily be found by typing "weber" into the search field)
Thank you for your time and support!

"The depth of your observations from last night is still resonating with me. I'm trying to think of another interview I've given where the questioner understood the material so well that he/she so regularly (and fluidly) went into new intellectual territory. I can't think of any. Pretty amazing. Thank you."
