Steve: Have you ever contemplated or participated in a web 'forum' where prominent speakers debate the future of on-line learning i.e. best vs. worst applications--motivated vs. unmotivated students--consumers vs. non-consumers of traditional classroom education--learning handicapped vs. learning advantaged--interactive, attention enhanced vs. lecture--culture nutral vs. propagandized etc. I would like to promote one in an auditorium setting where each speaker would present their position in 30-45 minutes, debate issues together for 60-90 minutes and then answer questions from the audience and web for 60 minutes. What do you think? Kent Harris

Steve, Saludos from Mexico. Thanks so much for all you work in bringing us these great interviews and programs. I rarelly have an opportunity to watch and interact live, but I listen to alot of the recordings. I just wanted to let you know that there are probably alot of us that don't make the live show but do watch and listen to the recordings. These interviews have made a real difference in my life and my teaching. Keep up the good work. Ken

Hi Steve, would like to chat with you talk about TEDxFutureEd events that I would like to get going globally. I have started a Facebook fan site to get the discussion going and see what sort of response folks would have to the idea.

Hi Steve,
Doing a session with Jean from NotSchool UK sounds like fun. Would there be room for some student voices in the mix as well?

Hope to "see" you online this evening!

Reviews

"The depth of your observations from last night is still resonating with me. I'm trying to think of another interview I've given where the questioner understood the material so well that he/she so regularly (and fluidly) went into new intellectual territory. I can't think of any. Pretty amazing. Thank you."
