The Future of Education

The future of Education:

It can be seen as a question mark, related to the future of economy the

future of society and the future of culture combined all together into

the way we live and the way we learn outside school doors.

Nowadays we are learning more outside school/university than inside. Yes, you

spend maybe 18 years in school and the rest of your life out side

school, so we need to think that the way we learn outside school, that

is a free way… Continue

Leadership and Learning: Part 2

In last week's blog we begun a discussion about developing leadership whilst student's are learning. This week we explore, what John Maxwell calls "the quickest way to developing leadership".

Spring Break Safety

Spring Break is right around the corner (some have already began their

mid-season vacations) and Kiwi put together a list of tips and faux pas

Google search on 'Spring Break' will provide a myriad of pictures

displaying both young guys and girls, half naked and doing things that I

am sure most teachers and parents would not approve of. Of course not

all kids and teens will engage in the… Continue

Algeria and Educational Development; the LMD System as an Algerian Step towards Globalisation in Higher Education

Before ever evoking the subject of Globalisation, we need first to say a word about Algeria. This great country is the gate of Africa. It is situated in the North central part of Africa opening her arms to the Mediterranean ٍSea, facing the European continent. She has also two wings “as France named them in the colonial period”. These are Tunisia which is the eastern wing and Morocco; the western one. Algeria’s back is all of the great, vague and rich African countries. Algeria must, then, be… Continue

FOUR DAY SCHOOLS...NO! NO!

EDUCATION IN TROUBLE

The move is on to create a four day school week. The idea is to increase the school day by one hour and reduce the number of days to four in an effort to save money and reduce more damaging cost cutting measures.

BAD IDEA.

Many parents in effect use school as a baby sitting measure. They have to work. Now if you do not have school on a Monday or Friday what will happen? Parents who work and can’t afford a daytime baby…
