Online CAT 2009 Path to Get in to Top Indian B Schools

Path to top Indian B Schools has never been easy. Every year lakhs of graduate students (B.E, B.Tech, B.Com, B.A etc) and working professionals appear for CAT chasing their dreams of making it to top Indian B schools such as IIM Ahemdabad (IIMA), IIM Bangalore (IIMB), IIM Calcutta (IIMC); NITIE, Mumbai; SP Jain, Mumbai; FMS and MDI, Gurgaon. Competition has been rising every year. In between the talks of new IIMs being opened this year another news came that CAT will be Online in 2009.

As if less number of seats and unpredictable number of questions in CAT exam were not enough that CAT has become online, adding further woes for the MBA aspirants.

Previously, I shared my views on GMAT 2009 for graduate students who are aiming to do MBA from top MBA colleges from USA now its turn for Online CAT 2009. Here are few interesting aspects on Online CAT 2009.

IIM CAT in 2009 will be online but the format of the exam will more or less remain the same. The toughness level is expected to come down else solving DI and Quant section would be really difficult.

The best way to crack is to take precautionary step in time and follow these easy steps:
1. Start your preparation for Online CAT 2009 3-4 months before the main exam. Prepare for Online CAT in the
same way as you would have done in 2008. No need to worry too much about the format.

2. Give more emphasis to CAT 2009 Quant Section and CAT 2009 Data Interpretation section. Browse through
internet to locate sites providing free Online CAT 2009 question bank.

3. Along with theory try to appear for section wise Practice CAT Online Tests. There are several sites that provide free CAT Online tests. Just do google search.

4. Join Online Test Series to evaluate your preparation. This you can do just 1 month before Online CAT 2009
exam.
