As a big fan of Christensen's new book "Disrupting Class", I'm searching for schools who have located PC software that can effectively assess why a student is 'unable' to be/stay attentive in a traditional classroom. Much as Rogers states in "Real Education", it's my contention US public schools do a great dissevice to everyone by attempting to mainstream both the very bright and 'troubled' students in the same teaching environment. Up till now the cost of providing 'effective, personalized, interactive' education to these 'marginal' kids has been prohibitive. With the real progress made in the last decade, it's apparent we should now have economical access to interactive screems, innovative assessment/education PC programs and 'mentors' on the internet that can be called on for personal help as needed, on any topic, at any hour.
I look forward to your comments.
