Session Title: Developing Speaking Through Writing

Your Name: Rosemere Bard

Work Title: English Teacher

School or Organization Name: Unidade de Idiomas SATC

Area of the World from Which You Will Present: Brazil

Language in Which You Will Present: English

Target Audience(s): EFL Teachers of Teens and Adult learners

Short Session Description (one line): Writing as a scaffolding tool for developing speaking skills through the creation of students own texts.

Full Session Description (as long as you would like): Learners have a lot to say, but fall short of words. Pre-speaking tasks are essential especially for the beginner and elementary learners and teacher's support gives them the opportunity to say what they want to say while learning vocabulary and grammar that are meaningful to them. With that in mind, this presentation aims to present and discuss tasks that empower learners while teaching them what they need to know and develop their skills.
