Full Session Description (as long as you would like):

Schools often set lofty goals and have specific foci for a school year. How these trickle down into teachers practice isn't always so clear. Join me as I share how we used our school improvement plan to launch professional inquiry groups and subsequently professional book clubs. All teachers had the chance to read, discuss, experiment and inquire further into a professional book based on their own personal questions and goals all whilst connecting back to the school improvement plan and divisional goals.  I will share the process of coming to specific division wide goals from the larger school vision then, using our standards and practices, framing goals and personal inquiries and finally, exploring the process/structure undertaken to explore professional books.
