Short Session Description (one line): An inside look at how one high school classroom built a Holocaust Museum, using PBL & Inquiry learning.


Full Session Description (as long as you would like): Inquiry learning is both powerful and transformative.  Using inquiry and PBL, our class studied the Holocaust culminating in the creation of a Holocaust Museum.  During this presentation, we’ll look at how we created our guiding questions, how students researched and curated information for their topics, the importance of student collaboration, the role of the teacher in an inquiry/PBL classroom, and the decision making process that resulted in our museum.  Throughout the process, we learned many valuable lessons;  the most important being that my students had the ability to create a project that not only deeply impacted them, but our community as well.
