We spend a great deal of our time and effort supporting children at the GLOBAL VILLAGE SCHOOL Sang near Dhudial, Tehsil and District Chakwal in rural Pakistan.

After 46 years of marriage and spending our lifetime working within the British education system, my wife Nusrat and I have decided to dedicate some quality time in the service of those who are less fortunate and have been deprived of their fundamental entitlement to education. Like most people with a social conscience we have tried our best over the years to support charitable work either by making financial contributions or by volunteering. Some of the on going initiatives Nusrat and I have been involved in are Furaha House in Kenya and  GVS in Pakistan. Furaha House is a project our families with help from friends established in Utange near Banbury beach Mombasa for orphaned girls. The more we strive to follow the principles of our faith with every act of self surrender and obedience to the guidance of Allah (God), the calmer we find ourselves feeling alhamdulilah (by the Grace of Allah). Looking after the needs of an orphan and providing for the needy with an attitude of gratitude is our preferred choice, as we believe it comes closest to pleasing Allah SWT. We can never really thank our Lord, the Creator, the Most Merciful Allah SWT  (God) for all that He has blessed us with through out our lives. We often remind ourselves of Allah’s oft repeated words, “which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?”. Our lives in England have been full of a rich variety of experiences and we have learnt a great deal from our mentors, our colleagues and the communities we have had the privilege to share our lives with and serve in London, Liverpool, Birmingha and Bradford Yorkshire. We are only too aware of our weaknesses and strive in all humility to ask Allah SWT for His mercy and forgiveness. We would like to share our ideas and learn from others about the best way to help those who are educating the future generations.
