How We Can Help Students to Choose Right Careers

The selection of right career is not an easy job for students but it is the prime responsibility of teachers and parents to guide them in appropriate manner but it does not they should influence their choices on them. Firstly, teachers assist the student to make a clear stance about their skills, passion and interests.

Many extracurricular activities are also very helpful to analyze the interests of students. On the other hand, modern school systems also emphasize to hire career counselors as well who make the students aware about their weaknesses or strengthen.

As an educationist, I always recommend to my students to before taking a career related decision conduct a SWOT analysis of their personalities and then set their priorities.

However, sometimes encouragement from parents and teachers also improves the performance of student in a particular field of life that could also be beneficial in decision-making process as well.

Teachers should also teach the students about the values of networking because each career is based on mutual efforts and as an individual they could not be successful then it does not matter if they are stationed at military camp of Arkansas or working as SEO in an online company.

Therefore, students should also make positive relationship with others at both societal and professional level. I also recommend to students that they should take advice from all but should use their own intellect and instinct in decision-making process as well.
